After a 4-year hiatus, the RC Palmer Incentive Program was able to finally bring back its annual multi-grade Camp Squamish retreat. The Grade 8-10 students, along with twelve selected Incentive Mentors, headed out for 3 days of activities and fun challenges.
Nestled by the Cheakamus River and the Coast Mountains, the students took part in a variety of team-building activities that encouraged them to meet new peers and strength connections with old friends.

Ten Palmer staff donated their time and effort to run a variety of activities for the students including team-based challenges and campfire songs.
A special thank you to Squamish First Nations artist and educator, Tsawaysia Spukwus, for sharing her knowledge of how the local Indigenous communities use the regional plants for medicinal and health-related purposes.
Though the time at camp was short, the memories and the friendships made will last. We hope the students will take the various aspects of the Incentive philosophy to heart and pay it forward, sharing it with their peers and community. Thank you to everyone for making this trip a memorable one, and we’ll see you next year for Camp Squamish 2024!
