Camp Squamish 2024

Earlier this month, the Incentive students eagerly returned to the annual Camp Squamish multi-grade retreat. Like last year, the Gr 8-10 students and a selected group of twelve Incentive mentors spent three days building new friendships, tackling fun challenges, and creating new memories including, in a first for many students, seeing the aurora borealis!

This year the Incentive staff worked hard to put together a variety of activities including a riddle-based challenge and a games session with our own team-focused twists on popular tabletop games.

Of course, there were also Camp Squamish staples such as the Scavenger Hunt, creative challenges, and the nightly campfire sessions.

In addition, we were honoured to once again have Tsawaysia Spukwus join us to share her stories and her knowledge in First Nations bead craft.

We are very fortunate to have an opportunity to bring together the Incentive students and are grateful that the staff and student mentors donated their time to help make this year’s retreat a success. We hope the experiences the students take away from this will encourage them to share their positivity with the peers around the school.

See you all at Camp Squamish 2025!
