As we close out this school year, we would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to all the Palmer grads of 2025. Their time in high school began with the additional challenge of COVID but they showed that they were a resolute and resilient group of students, determined to maintain their spirit and sense of Palmer PRIDE despite navigating the ever-changing world.
In addition, we would like to celebrate a few addition Incentive successes as well. Firstly, we congratulate all the Incentive graduating class of 2025 who continued to develop their strong work ethic these past five years, culminating in a number of successes which saw this group of students earning acceptances their post-secondary institutions of choice including UBC, SFU, U of T, University of Waterloo, and Langara. Many of the students also won awards and scholarships that they are putting towards their various ambitions and eventual career goals.
This group, along with other Palmer grads, also helped maintain a strong Palmer tradition of AP exam success, with this group helping Palmer score above the provincial and global averages in the full suite of AP courses offered at Palmer, namely Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Psychology, and Physics.
Lastly, we would also like to congratulate Riya Dua who returned from New Brunswick last month after competing in the Canada-Wide Science Fair. She competing as part of Team BC and earned a Bronze Medal and $4000 in scholarships for her project in generating electricity from waste plastic using microbial fuel cells. Riya said that she enjoyed the opportunity to “share my passion for environmental innovation and energy with expert judges and like-minded youth from across the country, which made for an inspiring and unforgettable experience.” Her time with Team BC continues to open doors as she has been offered an opportunity to showcase her project internationally and has been invited to help with the coordination of the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair for 2026.
Congratulations again to all the students on their successes and we hope to share more of your achievements as you forge new paths!
