If you are a Grade 7 student who wishes to apply to the Pre-AP/Incentive Program for the 2022-2023 school year, please carefully review all of the following information.

Out-of-Catchment Students:

If you live outside of Palmer’s catchment area, you will need to complete a School Transfer Form and submit it to Palmer’s School Office.

Please understand that in accordance to Richmond School District guidelines and policies, the Incentive Program must give priority to in-catchment students.  Students whom live at an address outside the catchment will be considered only after the in-catchment students have been evaluated.

Do I need a school transfer form?
If you DO attend a feeder elementary school and live INSIDE the Palmer catchment – No
If you DO NOT attend a feeder elementary school and live INSIDE the Palmer catchment – No
If you DO attend a feeder elementary school and live OUTSIDE the Palmer catchment – Yes
If you DO NOT attend a feeder elementary school and live OUTSIDE the Palmer catchment – Yes

Elementary School Visits:

Mr. Liang will be speaking to Palmer catchment elementary schools (DeBeck Elementary, Garden City Elementary and General Currie Elementary) in January to present information about the program to interested Grade 7 students. Listen to your school announcements or ask your Grade 7 teacher for more information. 

Spotlight on Palmer

Palmer Secondary is also hosting its annual Spotlight on Palmer in the evening of January 20, 2022.  which showcases all that the school has to offer, including an overview of the Incentive Program. 
If you are a student that is not attending any of the three Palmer catchment schools or are a parent, please check the Palmer Secondary website (https://palmer.sd38.bc.ca/) closer to the date for more information.  The event will be held virtually and will include an Incentive Q&A session.
