Even though the school year has ended and the Palmer Grads are embarking on their post-secondary journey, their achievements continue to roll in!
The College Board AP Program allows students an opportunity to take university-level courses during their time at high school and earn credit towards those same courses if they score well enough on the exams. The AP Exams are rigorous, university-level course exams that are scored out of 5. Students achieving 4/5 or 5/5 can use those scores towards university credit.
For 2022, a number of Palmer students challenged a variety of exams with Palmer offering AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Psychology courses, with many students taking more than one course and more than on exam.
This year’s results were very strong with a significant number of students scoring 4 or higher, including:
- 8 students in AP Biology
- 11 students in AP Calculus
- 11 students in AP Chemistry
- 20 students in AP Psychology
In fact, Palmer students scored higher than both the provincial and global averages in all four exams! A well-deserved congratulations then to all the students for their hard work in the courses during the school year, their efforts in preparing for the exam, and for their achievements!
