After Palmer’s 14th Annual Science Fair, Palmer sent a smaller than normal contingent this year to the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair at UBC but Palmer still picked up some medals and awards.
After winning a Silver Medal at Palmer’s Science Fair, James Weng went on to win the Structural Engineering Association of BC Young Members Group Award from the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, GVRSF for his project on ” Soaking Up Oil Spills with Diapers.”
Likewise, after winning Gold at Palmer for the grade 9’s, Zoe Yeung won a Bronze Medal in the Intermediate Division at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair along with a BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation Award. Her project was on creating the cellular matrix to grow artificial meat.
