Palmer Incentive alumnus wins $100,000 Schulich Scholarship

A huge congratulations is in order for one of Palmer Incentive’s alumni, Colin Chan, who became one of the most recent recipients of the prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarship of $100,000.

Colin and his sister Christy both attended Palmer and were part of the Incentive Program before moving to Edmonton in 2019. Both were exemplary and decorated students with Christy winning numerous awards and scholarships in her Grade 12 year at Palmer, and now followed by Colin as he graduates this year.

The Schulich Leader Scholarship awards entrepreneurial-minded young leaders that aspire to pursue a STEM career. With only 100 winners selected from across Canada, Colin joins a very exclusive group of scholarship recipients and he credits the Palmer Incentive Program with spurring his interest in the sciences, finding success at the Palmer Science Fair and going on to the Greater Vancouver Regionals. Colin noted that the “driving force in my application was the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair. The experience propelled my visions for post-secondary, and with [Incentive’s] help every step of the way, I was able to succeed.”

We wish Colin all the best as he continues on his educational journey!
